Welcome

Welcome to our school! We are a big family where children of all ages interact with each other, thus creating a closeness amongst them. They have the opportunity to participate in extra activities such as:

  • At Halloween the children dress up and we enjoy an annual “Spooky Walk” through the forest.
  • We have a traditional Christmas party with each child from the school, younger siblings and pre-schoolers from the local community. Santa comes with gifts and spends time with each child.
  • The children cook fresh pancakes on Pancake Day
  • Senior room’s annual cycle trip of the Blessington Green Way
  • The children also have designated times for imaginative play daily.
  • We grow our vegetables and have cooking and baking days at harvest time. Soup with our vegetables, rhubarb crumble…
  • At the end of the year we celebrate an annual Sports’ day festival combined with 3 other schools.
  • It is traditional, at the end of the last term to go to Russborough’s playground to explore the grounds, play and eat ice cream.
  • Science and Maths weeks are celebrated annually.
  • Local walking heritage tours in the area, scavenger hunts…
