The mobile library now parks outside our school every 2nd Wednesday from 2.10 pm. They provide a fabulous service for our pupils and the local community. All of the children were given time to choose a book. This was a new experience for some of the children and we are very grateful to be included in this free scheme.
Willemien Rust came to the school and talked to the children about all the stages of her business. It was very interesting. The children enjoyed it very much and learned a lot from it.
Congratulations to Ella from Senior Infants, who is a semi-finalist in the Doodle for Google competition. This is a huge achievement as there were so many entries to this nationwide competition.
On Sunday the 11th of December the children told the story of Christmas in Donoughmore church. They enjoyed preparing their parts, which included some poems, prayers, drama and a piece on tin whistle. They were wonderful and here is a photo of some of the Junior room children mid performance.

We started hurling training thanks to Paul Garrigan and our coach Johnny. We have so much fun playing skills games and we get very hot wearing those helmets
The girls from the Junior Room asked me to share a photo of their huge turtle. They made it in the sandpit and it was large enough to sit on.
As part of ‘Science Week’, the children were taking a closer look at electricity. They worked with circuits, switches, bulbs and motors. They also experimented with static electricity.
The children in the Junior Room made and decorated some delicious cookies last week.
